Looking back at Christmas break

We've been occupied lately (nothing special or exciting-actually we've been cooped up in the house because of the frigid cold, with no snow at least to compensate for the temperatures.) So finally we're catching up and looking back at the Christmas week we spent in California. M Squared had such a great time with cousin Jessica...

opening presents on Christmas Day

on the beach at Half Moon Bay

the scenery at Ano Nuevo State National Reserve

a loner elephant seal we saw on the walking tour (http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1111)

a bunch of them in the distance-they don't move much at all

while some listened to the guided tour, others of us had more compelling things to attend to (i.e. sand)

thank you, Uncle Victor, for carrying Micky a large part of the way

the bigger kids were willing to walk (for most of it)

Micky overcame her phobia of sand (actually I think Auntie Sandy had to remove grains of sand from her shoes several times)

Caitlyn has a phobia of sand too! how funny! hopefully she'll get over it before we move to beachtown..
